Three Days to Go

We traveled to Cleveland on Saturday from San Francisco. First lesson learned is to not trust the airlines. Despite a few calls before our trip of being assured there is no baggage fee for my bike if it is packed as under 50lbs total, I was hit with a $100 fee since the bike box is greater than 62 linear inches. Ughh...

The local bike shop (Spin in Lakewood) did a great job putting the bike together today while we took the kids to Cedar Point. If you have never been to "The Point", you have never been on a roller-coaster. It's truly amazing and there are 17 roller-coasters in the park. We did not get on the 'Top Thrill Dragster' due to 2-hour lines. It jets you from 0-120mph in under 4 seconds... that would be really cool to record the wattage on my Garmin cycling GPS.

I have some 'work' work to do tomorrow and a few minor tweaks of my bike fit. Forecast for the ride starting Thursday is looking humid with chances of thundershowers - very typical summer weather for Ohio.

Big news today and we need to thank MANY generous donors from this weekend. TEAM BOB is at $15,250 and the event is over $230,000. Truly amazing and we are humbled by the growing support of our ride.

Time to hit the pillow.

Safe riding,
Matthew
